Why did you start Boss Behavior Clothing ?
When I first started Boss Behavior Clothing, it was all out of fun. I am a business major and I have always been very creative. I use to draw all the time and anybody who really knows me,can tell you my favorite place is the mall. My favorite store is Abercrombie and Fitch. I am always shopping, so it only made sense. I use to spend so much money on clothes. OMG, I use to be such a tomboy in high school ( from avirex coats to throwback jerseys, and jordans) LOL . But, I also use to love high-end fashion , like Burberry and Gucci. Jeremy Scott, of Moschino, is my inspiration. However, I wanted to make a clothing line that the whole family can enjoy (From grandpas to granddaughters). Now that I am older , I’m working on building an empire . I rather work 24 hrs on my dream than 2 hrs at a job working on building someone else’s dream. The goal is to be international.
What’s your motivation ?
My kids and my customers. My kids love to wear their Boss Behavior t-shirts and that warms my heart. Nothing makes me happier than when I get a notification that someone made a purchase online and seeing someone wearing my t-shirts. That motivates me. I just want to inspire others. I am blessed beyond my years. I have a wonderful husband and two beautiful kids. Whatever I can do to give back , I’m with it. I want to be a blessing to others.
What advice would you give someone who is new to business and feels discouraged?
Never stop working on your goals. Don’t get discouraged . Consistency is the key. Don’t worry about people not supporting you. The truth is , strangers are going to support you the most. Work on studying your craft , getting better, and applying more pressure. Be content knowing that you don’t need anybody who is not willing to support you. God is the plug. Strive and pray big.
